Last night, i watched "The Ring". That was an awesome movie, more freaky than scary, but i like those better than "jump out of your skin" movies like Jason or Nightmare on Elm's Street; i rather watch Sixth Sense or Signs, for example. I actually thought it would be stupid, and some people may think that, but you have to think about the story.
Now for the interesting part of my blog.
You know how when they would watch the movie, a phone would ring? Well, thanks to an idea i got from jason beaudwin (it happened to his sister, conincidentally however) i snuck a cell phone downstairs with me. I kept it there while we were watching it.. and when the static came on at the very end, i speeddialed our house...
ring. ring.
it was pretty great.. of course, my brother and dad just laughed.. now if it had been my mom.. she would have definately jumped up and screamed. I need to show her that movie...
oh yeah, she got scared at "The Others"... she doesn't like horror movies too much.
----
Is it wrong to not be scared at a nightmare?
or kind of actually it enjoy it, like it was a scary movie? Because I actually had a nightmare last night. I know other people would have been scared, but it was actually pretty cool, in a supenseful way. There were zombies coming out of the floor and pulling people back down; Vampires hiding in the ceiling who would swoop down and take people up with them (i guess to eat them or something)... it was weird, and they tried to get me, but they couldn't. (don't like the idea of dieing in a dream. Send me a comment if thats ever happened to you) it was on an island, and we were getting away in a car on a bridge that was collapsing with zombies coming out of the ground as we got away in true movie fashion.
maybe i'll use some of that for a scary movie if i ever become a movie maker...
(is it sick to be able to think of all that though... i would have never imagined some of the stuff that was happening..)
---
Oh yeah, one last thing. There is this game called "The Suffering" (haha.. The Suffering"). It is just as freaky as The Ring, with weird things popping up, like a doctor that isn't having success with lethal injection.. so he just cuts the guy's throat... but it wasn't real, its only when you look through a security camera, and when you look where it "happened" nothing is there.
Its for PS2, so go rent it (its not long) and play it at night.. it'll be like you're in a horror movie.
(added bonus for those with surround sound, you can hear your conscious sometimes in the back speakers, like hearing the good angels and evil demons in your head, it makes it even more freakier)
So yeah. If you haven't been freaked out by my post.. go see The Ring and rent that game... then you will...

he only existed when you closed your eyes...
so yeah. i just figured out that "hey, the blog name has to do w/ video games.. but i never talk them." so here we go.
crap.
cant' think. school just started, so my brain isn't educated... its dead. And we didn't even do anything.
yeah, my scheldule royally sucks. the classes are great.. its the walking part thats horrible. My schledule is: 2nd floor, 1st floor, 2nd floor, 1st floor, 2nd floor, 1st floor, 2nd floor, 1st floor. :( I know i'm a runner and all, so it should be no big deal (more excercise, more muscle, more ladies :) ) but there are way too many freaking people!! Moving kids to LHS has really backfired. All the kids that would have gone to GMHS or CHS two years ago, now are coming here. That was fine when we had 1400 kids... but now when we had the most kids in the county, it doesn't work. One-way hallways suck, the down stairwell was good enough. The school just needs to wait a day for all the freshies to finally figure out how to get to class without using the main stairwell... it took me 2 (of the whole 4 minutes between classes... another thing that blows, but it doesn't blow my skirt up... cookie to those who got that..) to get INTO the F section. (Random Thought: maybe THATS why they call it the "F-section"... wait, never mind, that happens in the senior courtyard... lol)
i think this school year will be okay, but not great. idk, we'll see what happens by the end of the week.
Speaking of which, anyone want to go to the "Back to School" Dance with me? i'm just a lonely single white guy... just kidding. i'll go, but i'm not sure i want to go with just one person just yet. But i'll save a dance for you!

we'll make the same mistakes
well.. life is full of weird coinkadinks... as some of you know, i was caught speeding on St. John's RD. (60 in a 40, but only charged 49.. it was freakin' awesome!) Anyway, I went and did community service for the Parks and Rec. I met the supervisor, talked a little bit, and then did some landscaping all day.
Fast Forward to yesterday, when we were out car shopping :D We had one more place to go to; the first couple either had no cars or they were crap (Stay away from Hyundai Accents, trust me! They slide like 10 feet after you slam on the brake.. its a quick way to meet people actually, well, their bumper...). So my mom is tired, but i want to go look at some more cars. Last place we go to, we were approached by a salesperson (i think he was trying to go home... but i'm sure any salesperson loves a possible sale..) GUESS who the guy was... he was my supervisor for my community service. Now tell me that isn't weird...
If I had never sped (or at least get caught), picked parks & rec over the simple task of washing police cars and gone home 4 hrs early (they are pretty easy going from what i've heard)... I wouldn't have had the connection i needed. And in this county.. connections are everything! of course.. its STILL not an excuse for speeding (had to put in that public notice).
now we just need to get the car.. but maybe we'll get a nice discount, especially since he speed too... lol

p.s. i need to update.. i know. i've been playing too much online poker.. sorry.. i'll update tomorrow.. funny story when we went shopping for cars.
you'll find some way to disappoint me
Well, i finally got a 64-CD holder... i had outgrown my 32, I ended up doubling up CD's. Its pretty nice, its made by Napster and has 8 slots on the front for easy access.. its pretty cool. BUT I WANT MY IPOD!!! jeez.. to be able to get ANY song i want at the touch of a finger... man, thats nerd-vana right there. I just spent about 30 minutes loading it up, and found some CD's that had been missing... including some computer games. I'm still missing a couple, but my bet is that abby stole them from me.. she finds ways to get my cds (and clothes...err, she wears my DC Shoes hoodie all the time). I think she has my Yellowcard and Offspring CD. I'm going to look in her room (don't tell her, she hates people going in there) and find all my CD's b4 i go to practice. OH YEAH! crap, i have to practice. I'll update later tonight.

until the day i die
Poker has become a new hobby for me, especially Texas Hold'em. (you may actually find me using poker terms in here.. i'll make sure to clarify what the deuce [another name for a "2", also a line from Family Guy] i'm talking about). Anyway, at the PDP retreat, we played a ton of poker. We were up til 2 one morning, and then 5 the next (well, if you lasted and weren't knocked out first). I got no sleep, but it was pretty awesome. I was getting the best hands possible, it was amazing. No four-of-a-kinds though.. but i really didn't need them.
I just realized i sound cocky, but you have to understand something about Texas Hold'em. You can not control the hands you get, therefore, you have no say in the structure of your hand. Getting a decent hand is all luck. TH is all about how you deal with that luck. Even people with bad luck can win some decent money. Its all about the bluff and knowing when to hold them and when to fold them... but flopping (the laying down of the first three community cards (shared cards, there are eventually 5 of them in a hand)) a full house always helps!
Oh yeah, there is a Texas Hold'em poker game at target (get the tournament one, not the world series one. the latter is really lame) in the actual aisle near the older games. Its 20 bucks, but its really good for a pure poker experience. Its like playing online, the computer is that good. (but they don't go all in on every turn like the idiots online with free money). Or i can just burn you a copy.. but you'll have to win it from me, lol.

we'll all float on
well, i figured i'd write one of these nifty blog dealy's for the heck of it. This way i can look back at this at the end of my senior year and have one of two emotions: 1) sadness, or 2) "Man i'm an idiot.. what was i thinking!?". Besides, it seems cool..
Anyway, i figure that senior year has just started for me... i got my senior pictures (i hope they can get rid of zits), tryouts for one last season of CC start tonight (it'll be an awesome season however, you need to come out to see a meet!), and i have homework to do (yeah, I still haven't finished my AP Calc or AP Stats... meh). Oh yeah, and there was that PDP retreat.. but it doesn't count, cuz i want it to start today. If i have it starting last week, then that would just be confusing and wouldn't work out that nicely. Especially since this is a journal of my senior year and i'm starting it today. So there. And if you followed that whole line of thinking, here's a cookie.
Time to rewind now.
Those senior pictures suck. Most of you know that i can't fake a smile or bluff (unless its 2 in the morning.. then i can take you for all you are worth with just 2-7 offsuit, N.K. knows that well...). There are a bunch of pictures where they made me show my teeth... man i hate braces. They made me look really ugly (alright, you have 10 seconds to make all the jokes you can think of...) ANYWAY!! yeah, i hate forcing a smile, it never looks right. My pictures in my track uniform look pretty good though. It looks a whole lot less fake. I'll make sure to get some out, some people actually want a pic of me.. i don't know why... (btw, self-mocking is in this year) hmm.. this a long entry.. maybe i'll put more stuff in later, like the PDP retreat (i think it stands for People Doing Poker) and CC practice when i get back.
